Meet Mrs. Kirkendall

About Mrs. Kirkendall

My name is Chelsea Kirkendall, and I am excited to be your child’s 5th-grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year here at Temecula Preparatory School!

I was born and raised in Murrieta, California. Growing up, I went camping often and have always fostered a love for traveling and history.  I attended Vanguard University where I received my Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and Azusa Pacific University for my Multiple Subject Credential and a Master's in Education Technology. This year will be my eleventh year teaching 5th grade. Having my husband here as an upper school teacher and my three amazing step-kids Noah (14), Charlie (13), and Kayleigh (10) attending as TPS students makes my time here all the more special.

My family means everything to me! My kids make me a better person, and my husband keeps me grounded. I enjoy painting with my daughter, inventing with my middle son, and laughing with my oldest. We all love spending time with our two dogs, Bruce and Milo. Mr. Kirkendall and I love to travel and take our kids on all sorts of adventures. Although Mr. Kirkendall and I have been to several countries across Asia and Europe, our favorite place in the world is Hawaii! Sunshine and relaxation are our ideas of a perfect vacation!

I feel so honored to be a part of this fifth-grade team here at TPS.  We work well together, keep our lessons consistent with each other, and look out for one another's students. Your children are in good hands.  We have so many growth opportunities and exciting educational escapades planned for our fifth graders.

I am very passionate about the mission here at Temecula Preparatory School, and I look forward to helping students leave a heritage of virtue, wisdom, and knowledge. High expectations and encouragement are keys to my student's success. I hope to instill in my students the desire to be lifelong learners and strive for excellence.

Teaching is my passion, and investing in students' lives is my joy. I am honored to have the opportunity to make an impact on your child's life.  I understand that teaching is not just about imparting education; it’s also about being a mentor and a role model for so many young minds. I strive to give my best to my students each and every day.

Thank you so much for entrusting me with your child's education. I am looking forward to an amazing year!

 Sincerely,

 Chelsea Kirkendall
